Location:
Friedens is located in the confluence of the Brazos and the Navasota Rivers and sits in the midst of horse and cattle ranches giving beautiful vistas in every direction. It is about 30 miles south of Bryan/College Station and about 65 miles north of Houston.
Welcome to Friedens Church of Washington, UCC. Located close to Washington-on-the-Brazos State Park, we are a country church with a vibrant and welcoming spirit. Our name “Friedens” comes from the German word for peace, and it is in the peace of Jesus Christ that our church continues to witness to the Gospel of our Lord sharing in the ministry of our Savior and reaching out to our community in faith and service. No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you’re welcome here.

Church Directions:
From Brenham: Take 105 East to FM 912; turn right on FM 912 and continue until it runs into FM 1155; turn right on FM 1155. Friedens is located 1.5 miles on the right.
From Navasota: Take 105 West to FM 1155, turn left and follow FM 1155 through Old Washington, turn left towards Chappell Hill. Friedens is located 1.5 miles on the right.
From Chappell Hill: Take FM 1155 North towards Old Washington. Church will be on left.
