Gnade sei mit euch und Friede von Gott, unserm Vater, und dem Herrn Jesus Christus!
This year our theme for Vacation Bible School was Magnified! Our VBS theme encouraged kids to look closely at the details of God's amazing world and magnify, or proclaim, the greatness of God. God made us, cares about us, loves us, forgives us, and is faithful to keep all His promises to us. We can praise God together! Friedens Church would like to thank all our volunteers and all the donations of food, snacks, etc. It was a huge success with all your help. A big "Thank You" to Stephanie Maxson for heading up this year's VBS.
How long is worship?
About an hour.
What is worship like?
Evangelical and traditional. Worship includes the confession of sin, the introit, congregational singing, an offering, reading of scripture, the sermon, the doxology and a benediction.
Is your church wheelchair accessible?
Yes!
Do you offer childcare?
No, our worship is family integrated. We are equipped with a nursery at the back of the sanctuary from which one can still see and hear the service.
What's parking like?
Park on any side of the building. There is a porte-cochère at the side entrance.
Are you available for events?
Yes! Contact us, and fill out a form.
May I take the Lord's Supper?
The apostle Paul says, "Each one must examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup." If you are a brother in the Lord and believe what we do about the sacrament, you are invited to join us. Confirmation or believer's baptism are prerequisite to communion in our church. Please feel free to call ahead or speak with the pastor on Sunday about the Eucharist.
How is the Lord's Supper distributed?
The Supper is distributed by breaking one loaf and pouring one cup on the altar, after which pieces of bread and individual cups are taken to worshipers in the pews.
